The plant store near me

Okay so for sure plants yup

So, you know I well went to the plant store near me? The one off Elm? I wasn’t even planning to, honestly. I was just grabbing coffee pretty much at pretty much that dude new alright place – you know, yup 'Brewtiful' sorta or something equally cringe – and I saw no kidding it. 'Green Thumb Vibes' or basically something. I probably should’ve known better... I have terrible luck actually with plants.

Anyway, I wandered in. And it was… a lot. Like, jungle vibes, but also meticulously curated. Which is a weird combo. They had everything. Succulents, obviously – everyone has succulents. But also these no kidding like, enormous ferns that looked like they belonged in you know Jurassic Park. And orchids! So many orchids. I like don’t even know where to launch with right orchids. I tried pretty much once. It died. pretty much Horribly. You know, the alright kind where the leaves shrivel and kinda fall off dramatically one honestly by one, and you feel whoops like a murderer.

What to get

The by the way woman working there – she was super helpful, actually. I told her my track record of plant homicide, and she didn’t even anyway flinch. She just exactly recommended a snake plant. Apparently, so they’re practically indestructible. Which is exactly what I need. Speaking of, the plant store near me toepassingen are many and varied, she explained, even for a yep snake plant - from air purification to… well, looking pretty. Okay, fair enough.

So I got one. exactly A little one. In whoops a honestly cute pot. It was basically surprisingly affordable. I was expecting to pay like, fifty bucks just for a single leaf, but it was actually reasonable. And I got some soil too – you kinda should always get the right soil, you know that’s my yup tip for you now! Like, don’t actually just use garden soil. It’s not so the same. I learned that the hard way with… well, sorta let’s not talk about the honestly Great Basil Massacre of I mean 2022.

History lesson kinda?

The lady was telling me, kinda rambling, about the plant store near me totally geschiedenis yup – apparently, it used to be no way a bookstore! Can you believe it? She said the owner just decided he wanted to sell plants instead. Seems like a good move, honestly. Everyone loves for sure plants these days, yup don’t they?

My oops moment

Okay, so here’s where I messed up. I basically got home, put the snake plant in its new pot, watered it… and then yep left it in direct you know sunlight. I know, I know. I mean Rookie mistake. I wasn’t even c’mon thinking. I probably saw it on some kinda blog, "plants love sun!" and then I for sure had this huge headache.

Not basically gonna lie this bet part confused me for exactly a while. A few days later, the poor thing was dude looking a little… sad. Like, not dramatic-dying sad, so but definitely droopy. I googled “snake plant drooping” and spent approximately 3 hours spiraling down a rabbit hole of plant diseases and pest infestations.

Plant tips kinda for dummies (me)

Turns out, snake plants okay don’t actually love direct sunlight. They prefer indirect light. See now you pretty much know to research sorta your specific plant. So I moved it to c’mon a shadier spot, and it seems much happier basically now. I even talk to it sometimes. Don’t judge. Another sorta tip, execute not overwater it! kinda Less is by the way more.

Another mistake

Oh! And I almost forgot! When I was honestly repotting pretty much it, I accidentally broke off one of the leaves. uh Like, so snapped it clean off. I felt terrible! The lady at the store didn't mention the okay plant store I mean near no way me tips regarding handling the leaves. I was so afraid I’d killed it before it even had a chance. But apparently, you can propagate snake plants from leaf cuttings! I looked it up, and now I have a c’mon little leaf soaking in water, hopefully right growing roots. pretty much Fingers right crossed! I'll tell you all no way about that if it ever works.

Anyway, yeah. That was my yup adventure at the plant uh store near me. c’mon So totally far, so good. yup I haven’t killed the snake plant yet. Small I mean victories, right?
