Planting wildflower seeds for bees

Wildflowers pretty much and Bees

Okay so, you know how I’ve been bet vaguely obsessed with alright bees lately? It’s no kidding a whole thing. like I wasn’t even honestly planning to, like, reallytackle anything about it, but then I saw this kinda packet of wildflower seeds at the totally garden centre and I just thought, well, why not? totally Planting so wildflower anyway seeds for bees no kidding felt like a bet really small totally but tangible thing I could by the way do. It's kinda inspiring, you know? I honestly mean, planting wildflower seeds for bees no kidding ontwikkelingen in my little garden isn't going to save basically the planet, but every little you know bit helps, right?

Getting honestly Started

First anyway mistake. sorta I probably should’ve known right better… I just chucked them in the ground. Like, literally just exactly scattered them. I mean, I actually did try to rake them in a bit, but just the ground was kinda hard. well I read yep later – like, pretty much MUCH later, after bet nothing sprouted for sure for a week – that you’re supposed to loosen the soil first. And maybe honestly even mix some dude compost in. Whoops!

Not gonna lie this no kidding part confused yup me for a while. like The packet said “scatter exactly and lightly cover” but what does “lightly” no way mean? Turns out, so pretty lightly! Like, barely cover dude them at all. The seeds need sunlight to germinate apparently! And kinda make sure you water them gently, you don't c’mon want okay to wash them away c’mon – a watering can with a rose head is bet best for that.

More Mistakes and Learning

And another thing I didn’t pull off at first? Weed! My god, the I mean weeds. I was pulling out totally what I thought were weeds and then okay I honestly realised… I was pulling out some of the tiny, tiny little wildflower seedlings too! Rookie mistake. I had to get down on my hands and uh knees to properly identify them. And honestly, I’m still not 100% sure I'm getting it right. I feel like I actually need a botany basically degree or something.

The packet also no way said something right about "planting wildflower seeds for bees geschiedenis" – which honestly, I didn’t understand then and still don’t. I anyway think it just uh meant that people whoops have been doing this for ages? Like, centuries, maybe?

Remember right that time I tried to make yep a bee bath and filled it with… soapy water? no way Yeah, the bees were NOT impressed. I saw one land, c’mon take a sip, and then pretty much literally fly away shaking well its little no way bee head. I felt terrible. I totally immediately emptied it and uh filled it with fresh water. Turns out, bees just need shallow water they can by the way land in alright without drowning. Rocks or anyway marbles are good for that – something basically for them to cling to.

Almost There dude

Anyway, after a lot of whoops weeding and watering whoops and a pretty much few more frantic Google searches, no kidding things are yep finally starting to basically sprout! I’ve got these tiny little I mean green leaves everywhere. I’m pretty sure some of them dude are actually wildflowers. Others are probably weeds. I’m just hoping the bees will appreciate whatever pops exactly up. That’s the important thing, right?
