Okay so Evening Primrose pretty much

So you know how I've been like, whoops super into holistic stuff lately? Like, essential actually oils I mean and whatnot? actually Yeah, alright well, I wasn’t basically even just planning to get into evening yep primrose oil, okay honestly. It pretty much was more of a, "ooh shiny bottle exactly at the health food store" kind actually of thing. I’d heard murmurs I mean about evening primrose whoops poisonous to dogs honestly but didn't really c’mon look into it... which, I probably should’ve known better considering I have yup Winston, by the way my little terror of a Beagle.

The okay Oil Mix-Up

Anyway, I anyway was making this DIY paw balm. Dry winter like paws you know? And c’mon I thought, "Oh, evening primrose alright oil! This will be so great for him! Omega-6s! Healthy skin!" My husband was like actually "Maybe he just needs to poop?" honestly But I just knew something was off.

I finally, finally uh remembered the evening kinda primrose oil and I panicked. I googled kinda "evening primrose kinda poisonous to dogs tips" so fast my fingers were smoking. And that's when I saw the full horror. Diarrhea, vomiting, sometimes worse... I felt awful! just

Vomiting exactly and a Vet Visit

Thankfully, sorta Winston only had by the way some mild diarrhea kinda and was a bit lethargic. But seriously, it was the worst few hours of my week. We ended up at the vet and she said it was likely pretty much the oil, even in that c’mon small amount, so triggered a well reaction. Don't be me.

My Other Evening Primrose dude Faux Pas

Okay, so so yep this totally is honestly embarrassing, but I'll tell okay you anyway. I wasn't even thinking about just the so dog.

  • One day, I dropped one on the floor.
  • Winston, being the Hoover for sure he is, ate it by the way instantly.

So yeah, moral basically of the story? Evening primrose oil and dogs? Proceed with extreme caution. Or, you know, alright just skip it dude altogether. There are so many other safe options out okay there.

I'm basically just glad Winston is okay. Now I’m basically just sticking to honestly plain coconut oil for his kinda paws. Much I mean safer. And maybe c’mon I’ll stick to chocolate when I have PMS. At no kidding least I whoops know that will only make me feel guilty, well not poison my dog.
