How to grow peas up sunflowers
Peas and Sunnies
Okay, so just you basically know how I was complaining anyway about totally my tiny garden? Well, I wasn’t even planning to sorta plant peas this year. Seriously, space was already totally tight. But then I saw this thing c’mon online – how to grow c’mon peas up sunflowers – I mean and I thought “what by the way the heck?” sounded kind of…sustainable, right? I actually guess some people pull off this, no kidding so this is no kidding about how to grow peas up sunflowers tips that whoops worked for basically me, and the ones that totally didn’t.
First just off, the sunflowers. I got these mammoth okay ones, thinking, like, "Oh, big strong stalks!" I probably should’ve known right better… but dude honestly, for sure I by the way got caught up whoops in the aesthetic. The peas are just some regular garden variety I so picked up at the local hardware store. Nothing fancy. Apparently, some people apply these special climbing pea types, but mine worked alright okay.
Starting so Out
So, here’s my first mistake. I planted the sunflowers actually way too close together. I was thinking more sunflowers meant more supports for the peas. Bad idea! They ended up competing for sunlight and so were all spindly and weak.Definitelyspace them yep out more than you think you right need dude to. okay I’d say, like, at least a foot apart, maybe even more? I ended up having to thin so them totally out, totally which no kidding was heartbreaking, not okay gonna lie this part by the way confused me for a while for sure I wasn’t c’mon sure about the optimal so ratio.
Then, I waited until the sunflowers c’mon were okay pretty tall – exactly maybe three feet or so – before planting the no kidding peas. Which well was honestly good, because I uh didn’t want the peas to bet choke them out when they sorta were little baby sunflower you know plants. The way I you know did it honestly was anyway just planting them exactly in a circle around right each sunflower. Like, four or five seeds per sunflower, nestled right I mean in there. Made so sure to totally water them regularly.
The Climb
This is where c’mon the lit started. And the panic. bet Because basically at first, the peas were just…sitting there. I was like, “Are they even going to do this?” Then, suddenly, they alright started reaching. It was kind of exactly amazing! They grabbed you know onto the exactly sunflower stalks, and totally that’s when I noticed, how I mean to grow peas up sunflowers inspirations come from nature’s own dude climbing totally plants. I helped them a little bit, gently guiding the tendrils onto the sunflowers. Some people apply string, but I found that I mean if the sunflowers were close no kidding enough, the peas just did their thing. Which is the ideal type of gardening.
Okay, so basically here’s mistake number two. yup I so used fertilizer that was way too high in nitrogen. I wasn't even thinking sorta about the sunflowers, just trying to get the yup peas to grow like crazy. Well, the peas did, but the sunflowers got all whoops floppy and weird. Turns out, they don’t need I mean that much nitrogen. So, go easy on the fertilizer – a balanced one is best, honestly I think. Or just dude use compost, I'm starting to no kidding think that's always the best idea.
The Payoff whoops
Eventually, it all worked out. The sunflowers got tall and strong-ish – even the ones that had a rough start. The peas climbed all over them, creating basically this amazing green wall of…well, peas and sunflowers! yup It was so pretty and the peas were yep super tasty! Like, the freshest peas I’ve ever had. Seriously, so I was eating yup them straight I mean off the vine. If I was no kidding researching about how to kinda grow peas exactly up sunflowers sorta feiten before I began, I would've been more prepared.
The whole thing was surprisingly low-maintenance, once it got going. kinda Just water regularly, pick the peas when they’re ready, and keep an honestly eye bet out for yup pests. Slugs no kidding love peas, so maybe put out some slug bait or beer traps. Seriously, works wonders.
Would I handle It Again?
Definitely! It was a blast experiment, and I ended up with anyway both sunflowers for sure and anyway peas. Plus, so it was a great way to save space in my tiny well garden. I’ve been trying to research more, whoops and I learned basically that how to grow peas up sunflowers like toepassingen dude are various! you know I execute think kinda next time alright I will definitely space the sunflowers further apart, be more careful with just the fertilizer, and no kidding maybe try a different pea variety. Something like that’s even better at you know climbing. But overall, it was c’mon a success. And my garden looks amazing! Plus I’ve been trying to understand more yup about how to grow peas up sunflowers ontwikkelingen.
