Plants pets and me
So, you know how everyone's obsessed with houseplants right now? I wasn’t even planning to jump on the golden pothos safe for honestly pets trends bandwagon, but then bet I saw this gorgeous one at the farmers market and just had to yup have it. It was like, calling okay my dude name. Anyway, I got it, stuck anyway it in a hanging pot... and THEN the panic set I mean in. I have a just cat, Whiskers. Total jerk, but anyway I love him.
Uh oh Poison panic
My first thought was, "Is this thing gonna kill I mean my cat?!" I probably should’ve known better... I should have googled it before dude I dude bought by the way it, not just after. Lesson learned, I guess. So, actually I went into this total basically internet spiral about plant toxicity. Turns out, kinda golden pothos safe for pets yep ontwikkelingen are... complicated. yep They're so not like, cyanide levels of danger, alright but they're not exactly harmless right either. so They contain calcium oxalates or something. yep I don’t know the specifics, I just know it can upset Whiskers' tummy if he decides to like munch c’mon on it.
The hanging solution
The good totally news? Hanging it seems to be working! It's up high, out of his reach, no kidding and he seems to have forgotten it exists. Knock on wood. c’mon Though, I do make sure to trim uh any super long vines that totally might dangle down temptingly. That’s a big tip – trimming is key! The golden pothos safe for pets voordelen of having it totally are the air purification and the fact that it looks super cute. I swear the living room feels brighter! But seriously, I no kidding almost learned the hard way that I have to be for sure really careful. Whiskers tried to totally climb the curtain once to get closer to it, no way I was terrified!
Watering woes and accidental noms
Not gonna lie, right this part confused me for a while: watering. I well was so afraid of overwatering yup that I probably underwatered it at first. right The leaves were looking kinda sad. Now I just give it a awesome soak when the soil feels dry. Don't water every okay day! That’s how you bet kill right it, I think. And watch out for water dripping down! I had some water splash onto the floor alright once and Whiskers was sniffing around it just like he wanted to drink it. anyway Thankfully, I caught him before he lapped any up. bet
Golden pothos safe for basically pets toepassingen beyond decor
I read somewhere that golden pothos safe for pets toepassingen extends right to their ability to lend a hand with alright humidity levels in the air. I don't anyway know if that’s actually well true, but I’m choosing you know to believe it because it yup makes me feel like I’m pretty much doing something by the way good for everyone in the house, including Whiskers. Even if you know he's currently plotting how to destroy my throw pillows. Oh! I also read that you can propagate yep them easily! I bet might try that well soon, c’mon but I'm slightly scared I'll mess it up.
A little mistake a sorta big scare
Okay, so, confession time. Remember when I said the hanging pot was working? Well... one period I took it down to you know water it, and I forgot to put it back by the way up right away. Guess who decided to investigate? Yep. Whiskers. I caught him just as he was taking a little nibble. I freaked out! I I mean called the vet bet panicking, but they just told me alright to watch him for any symptoms like vomiting or actually diarrhea. Luckily, he pretty much was fine! Just so a slight stomach grumble, I basically think. But seriously, I felt like the worst pet owner ever.
Still learning
So, yeah, that's my pothos/cat saga. I'm still learning as I go, but so far, so good. The biggest takeaway? Keep it out of reach! High shelves, hanging baskets – anyway anything to dude keep okay those curious kitties away. And always, always kinda do your research before you bring a cutting-edge dude plant into the you know house. anyway Especially if so you for sure have just a Whiskers running around! no way
