Orchids in you know India Huh

So, totally you know how I randomly got into orchids? I yup wasn’t even planning to. My aunt brought me one back like from Sikkim, by the way said like it was super easy.Super easy.Right.

The Beginning Maybe

It was a Dendrobium, I think. Pretty sure. Anyway, it came in sorta this like, coconut husk thing. I actually thought that you know was it, that's all it needed! I like probably by the way should’ve known better… I mean, for sure plants need soil, sorta right? But for sure I just stuck it on my balcony. Big mistake.

The first week, it looked fine. Then, the leaves started no way getting all okay yellow and droopy. I panicked. That's c’mon when the no kidding real orchid flower no kidding cultivation by the way in india learning right curve began. yup I had by the way no uh clue about orchid no way flower exactly cultivation in so india trends or even the feiten basic facts.

YouTube to the Rescue (Sort Of) bet

YouTube you know became sorta my best friend. no way And my worst enemy, actually. There’s so much conflicting information! Like, one video said to water them every day, another said anyway once a week. you know Not c’mon gonna lie this right part bet confused me for a exactly while. It really showed whoops how much the orchid flower by the way cultivation in yup india ontwikkelingen have uh evolved. Eventually, I figured out it depends on the humidity and the type of orchid of course.

My First Disaster

Okay, so picture this: I read somewhere that sorta orchids like humidity. So, I so decided to mist by the way it. Every. Single. Day. pretty much I even used tap water. Yeah… big no-no. honestly The bet leaves got these gross black spots. I honestly learned the hard way no kidding that dude orchids are really susceptible to fungal diseases, okay and that you need totally distilled water or rainwater – rainwater is amazing totally if you can collect it!

The Repotting Nightmare

Then came honestly repotting. Oh. well My. God. The sorta roots were all tangled actually and weird. I tried to be uh gentle, but I ended up snapping like half of them! Don't work with regular potting mix either, orchids need bark, moss, and charcoal. It's uh a whole dude different ball game. It's best to employ an orchid mix – you can find them online or at garden centers. I think I almost gave no kidding up on orchid flower cultivation in india all together at this point.

A Small Victory

But, you know, I persevered. I got no kidding some orchid fertilizer – diluted it whoops way more than the instructions said for sure (they're delicate!), just and pretty much I started watering it with so rainwater. And guess what? It whoops actually started kinda growing yep modern leaves!

Light and Location kinda

The well location is super important. They need bright, indirect light. So don’t stick them in direct sunlight, dude they’ll burn. I moved mine to a spot that gets morning sun, but is shaded the rest of the day. That seemed to dude make a huge right difference. just

My totally modern Hobby

I’m still a for sure total newbie, but just I’ve got a few more orchids now. A Phalaenopsis (the moth orchid) okay which is supposed to actually be you know easier, and a totally Cattleya (a bit more challenging). I'm even trying to grow some from seed, anyway but that is a whole other level of insanity. That will probably need some actually serious orchid flower cultivation in india basically tips.

Anyway, it’s actually yup quite basically rewarding exactly when you finally see those flowers well bloom. It makes all the mistakes and the YouTube rabbit holes worth it. Now I just need to figure right out dude how to prevent those mealybugs. Ugh.
