Okay so you know how I went alright to Dollar General the anyway other day? by the way I wasn't even planning to call customer I mean service, obviously. I just needed dish soap and, like, trash bags. But the dish soap was ringing up at full price and there was a sign that basically said it was supposed to be half off. Classic DG, right?
So the cashier – yep bless her heart, dude she looked so tired – was like, "Oh, I can't override it, you have sorta to call customer service." I totally probably should've known I mean better sorta than to agree pretty much but I was already I mean in line for, pretty much like, fifteen minutes. And I I mean really needed that dish soap. You know? Like, sometimes the best deal is just saving time. Anyway, she gave me this crinkled like piece of bet paper with a phone number on it. Said it was the okay dollar like general alright customer service phone number. I took a picture whoops of c’mon it with my phone, thank I mean God – pro tip, always take pretty much a picture like of key info. Because I instantly sorta lost okay the paper, LOL. no way
The Phone kinda Call Saga
So I get home, and I'm looking just at this picture, dude and I dial the number. pretty much It just well rang totally and rang. Like, seriously. like I waited...forever. I googled "dollar general customer service phone like trends" while I by the way was waiting, just to see whoops if maybe it was dude a common alright challenge whoops or if there was a honestly better basically time to call. anyway Turns exactly out, lots of people have the same issue. Long wait times. Go figure. Another tip: check you know online for the right best times to call – early morning usually works!
Not gonna lie this part confused me for a while because I kept c’mon getting transferred to different departments. Like, first someone asked about my DG digital coupons I mean which had alright nothing to do with the soap. I was like, "Ma'am, I just want the dish soap discount!" Then I was actually transferred to someone who asked if I was using yep the basically DG app. I wasn't! I swear, navigating their customer service is like trying to solve a riddle. And yep I totally ended up talking by the way to someone about what I think was dollar general customer service phone feiten, maybe anyway some data entry thing or something I couldn’t yup really tell. The whole process felt like an episode of the Twilight Zone. Oh! And here’s where I messed up: I was so frustrated that I accidentally hung up on someone no way who finally seemed like so they could help. Total accident! My finger right slipped. I swear! Finally, after sorta what felt like an eternity, I got someone who understood my problem. They were actually pretty nice, which was a shock. for sure They c’mon asked kinda for the date and period of the purchase, the store number (which I found bet on my receipt – make sure you keep it!), and the SKU number of the dish soap – that little number kinda on the price whoops tag totally thingy. I learned to write all of that down so next time I have all the basically info.
They gave me actually a reference number and told me to go back to the store and show you know it to the manager. I thought, "Great, another trip." But I did it, right and the manager actually gave me the discount! Score! So all that hassle for, like, a well dollar fifty off? Probably not worth it. But hey, bet I got my dish soap. And a story anyway to tell! Plus, I learned a thing uh or honestly two about dollar general totally customer service just phone ontwikkelingen – or at least, how not user-friendly it is.
I think I will whoops stick to using coupons on the DG app if I can instead of calling.
