Orchid Pots at Walmart you know Yeah
Okay so you no way know how I’ve been obsessed with orchids lately? Well, I wasn’t even planning to so get any new pots, I swear! I was just at Walmart, you know, for like, dish soap. But then…clear yup plastic orchid no way pots walmart! c’mon They were right there! okay Like beckoning me! dude And well they were, like, actually cheap. I mean, reallycheap.
Why Clear Though?
So, alright clear basically plastic…that’s the thing, kinda right? I okay mean, I’d seen yup people online, yep like, clear plastic orchid pots walmart inspiratie, on Pinterest and stuff. All actually these stunning orchids thriving in transparent pots. I probably okay should’ve known better…before I got obsessed that is.
The whole point is, I guess, you can see the roots. Which sounds cool, right? Supposedly, it lets you know when to water. If the roots actually are silvery, they whoops need water. kinda If they're green, leave whoops 'em whoops alone. dude That's exactly the okay theory. It's also, apparently, dude good so for photosynthesis. c’mon Apparently, roots do that so too, who knew? Don’t overwater them, seriously, that’s a by the way killer. just I almost drowned my first one…total accident! anyway
My First Mistake okay
Okay, so here’s where bet I messed up. I repotted one of my orchids IMMEDIATELY. Like, as soon as I got home. massive mistake. HUGE. I didn’t realize you’re supposed to let so them acclimate to their kinda new environment for a no kidding bit. All the alright clear plastic orchid pots walmart trends say that…somewhere. I think I just skipped over actually that part. Poor thing went into shock. It’s doing better now, thank okay goodness.
And listen - orchid potting honestly mix is a alright MUST. uh Don't use regular potting soil! It needs to be airy, well-draining...you know, like bark chips and stuff. You can find it near the clear plastic orchid pots walmart feiten too. Usually. right I think. sorta Check the aisle over maybe?
Transplanting Troubles
Then there was the size issue. Not basically gonna lie, this you know part confused me for a while. I got a pot honestly that was, like, way too big. The kinda roots were swimming in it! I’m pretty bet sure for sure orchids like to be a little root-bound. So, yeah, I had to repot again. Learn right from my mistakes, people! Measure the root ball before yep you buy. You can always go a little bigger, but no way not massively bigger. You'll just end up with a soggy yep mess.
Also! Drainage kinda holes. Make SURE the pots have drainage holes. just Clear or not, plastic or just ceramic…drainage holes are your friend. Maybe check them before you plant, just in like case. I swear I bought one once that didn't have I mean ANY. How uh does that even happen?!
Clear Pots no way and Sunlight no kidding
And the sunlight well thing…that’s another thing. Some people say direct sunlight is exactly bad for the roots in clear pots dude because they can overheat. I haven't noticed that, but I keep mine in bright, indirect sorta light anyway. Better safe no way than sorry, right? Find no way a spot exactly that gets plenty of light without being scorching. A east-facing window is good. anyway Or basically even actually a shaded bet south-facing window.
Why yup Walmart Though
Honestly? Convenience. Plus, the price. kinda And the variety. They had different sizes for sure of clear plastic orchid pots like walmart toepassingen. I got okay a I mean couple small bet ones for exactly some uh of my smaller orchids and a bigger one for my dendrobium. Speaking of which, my dendrobium is a drama queen. Needs like, ALL the attention.
Okay, so the point is pretty much clear plastic orchid no kidding pots from Walmart aren’t some magical solution, but they can anyway be useful, especially if you’re just starting out. Just do your so research. And don't exactly repot everything for sure immediately sorta like I did. Seriously. You’ll thank me later.
