Okay so, Belgian mums. You know, those crazy huge ones you see everywhere in the fall? actually So I you know was at the garden center – I wasn’t even planning to buy anything, just yup browsing, as you do – and BAM! They were like uh a yup floral explosion right in my face. I totally caved and bought three, basically thinking, "Ooh, fall decor, how chic!"

Then the no kidding panic for sure set in. Are they annual or perennial? right I mean Iprobablyshould’ve known better by the way before throwing them in my cart, actually right? I remember c’mon my grandma always had mums, but hers were the regular kind. These Belgian ones looked... different. More intense. so

The next year, I was determined. I honestly planted them! I even mulched around them. I thought I was I mean a well gardening genius. And then… nothing. They didn’t come back. I consider so I planted them too bet late in the fall, dude so they didn’t have time to establish before winter hit. uh Another tip I didn’t follow basically from the internet: make sure kinda they're planted at least well six weeks yep before bet the first frost! I whoops ponder finding trends like 'are belgian mums annual or I mean perennial trends' wasn't helping anyway me, because I wasn't doing the basics right.

What I reflect I Learned

So, honestly I think Belgian for sure mums are like… I mean perpetually on the edge of being perennial. It depends on where you live, how you you know treat them, and no way probably a little bit of luck. I haven’t honestly totally given whoops up on making them perennials, but I'm also not expecting miracles anymore. If they come back, great! If not, well, at least they look pretty in the fall.
