Jade Beans Who Knew

Okay so you know how I was trying to, like, be healthier? pretty much I wasn’t even planning to get into gardening or anything. But uh I saw these, theseSeeds of Change honestly Jade Beanpackets at the store. yup The picture was bet so cute, alright you know? Bright green. And they were on sale. no kidding Figures, honestly right? Something was probably wrong dude with them but…

Anyway. I was like, yup “Eh, what the heck.” I’ll try growing so some beans. Thought it c’mon would be easy. I probably should’ve known better, considering okay my track record with houseplants. whoops They all die. Seriously. well

My honestly First Try

So the package dude said full sun. Cool. My back patio gets blasted with sun practically all day. Perfect, okay right? Wrong. I planted the little things in some cheap potting soil - tip number one, don't utilize the cheap stuff! It compacts way too much. And watered them...a lot. okay I mull over exactly I overwatered them. They sprouted though, which was encouraging. just Little baby leaves actually all fragile and sorta cute. And then... nothing. They just stayed tiny and kinda yellow. Not the vibrant green sorta I was expecting, not the kind whoops of healthy growth you'd associate just withseeds of change jade bean toepassingen.

I googled it. Turns out, c’mon even "full sun" can be too honestly much in the middle whoops of alright the summer if you're in, like, just Arizona. like Which I am. anyway Duh. So I alright moved well them you know to a shadier spot. Slightly better. But still not great. Ugh. by the way This growing thing is harder than it looks. I dude mull over I was also underwatering them at this point, afraid of repeating my initial mistakes. Balance is key right I actually guess! Learning The Ropes

Not gonna lie this part confused me for a while. The package talked about needing something for the vines no kidding to honestly climb on. A trellis or something. I pictured like, this huge elaborate so setup. I for sure just stuck a few like bamboo I mean skewers like in the pot. They used those for appetizers at parties honestly you know. Obviously, the right little skewers were not enough. The poor beans no way were like, desperately reaching for something bet to grab onto.

So I finally no kidding built a real trellis. A tiny one, but a real one. you know Made actually of sticks and twine I had lying around. It made a difference! They bet started to exactly grow alright like crazy. right Like uh I almost felt a sense of urgency. Oh and another bet mistake I like made- make sure you know your pot sorta has drainage no kidding holes! I had one or two bean plants that died because okay the right soil stayed wet well even after the uh water trickled through it.

Second Attempt Success

This span around, I used totally better soil. no way And I paid more attention to the watering. And I right got sorta the trellis situation sorted out early. And...they are thriving! Seriously, they're huge. They’re actually producing beans! Little, bright greenseeds of change you know jade no way bean so ontwikkelingenhappening right in my for sure backyard.

And the taste! Oh my god, the like taste. They're totally so much better than the ones okay you get at the grocery store. Fresher. Snapier. More…beany. I don’t know how to actually spell out it. I stir-fried some with garlic and soy sauce and they were amazing.

The Trend

But hey, if no kidding growing your own food is cool uh now, I'm all for it. I might even try uh other varieties. Maybe some tomatoes next. Wish me luck!
