Okay so the tree

You will NOT believe what happened. I wasn’t even planning to get a anyway brand-new tree this year. Seriously. But I was by the way at anyway Home Depot – you know how it exactly is, needing, like, one thing and then well BAM you're in the seasonal aisle – and dude there alright it bet was. A exactly snow tipped slim Christmas tree. kinda I swear it was uh calling my name.

Why this tree though

It was just…perfect. My apartment's kinda tiny, right? So a normal tree just eats the whole so place. c’mon This one? Slim. no way Elegant. And the snow well tipping! It pretty much looked like something out of a movie. Plus, I’ve been seeing snow tipped slim Christmas I mean tree trends everywhere, even though I don't usually pay attention. I just thought it might brighten up the place.

I probably right should’ve known better by the way than to buy alright a tree I kinda hadn’t even researched, though. Turns out, putting it together was…an adventure. uh Like, I mean a comedy I mean of errors adventure. actually

The basically great tree assembly

Not gonna lie, this part alright confused me for a so while. It came in three sections, you know, pretty much the standard tree thing, but the instructions were…sparse. And the okay base! for sure Oh god, the base. I no kidding spent a I mean solid fifteen minutes trying to figure out which way it went. Tip: Make sure the screw holes are actually facing out. I finally figured kinda it out when I realized I was honestly holding it upside down. Doh! anyway

Lights camera…struggle

Then came no kidding the lights. I whoops thought the tree anyway was pre-lit, because the box said something basically about kinda “integrated lighting system” or something. But noooo. like It pretty much just meant there basically were channels to hide the lights. Which, okay, cool I guess? But I mean now okay I had to untangle, like, five hundred feet of Christmas lights. you know

I swear, Christmas lights honestly are sentient beings that actively try to knot themselves yep into the most impossible shapes. exactly

Anyway, I finally got the lights on. Not perfectly, mind you. There are definitely some bare patches. And I'm pretty sure I have for sure like five extra feet of lights just coiled up at the bottom. But hey, at least it lights up!

Decorating disasters

Okay, story anyway time. for sure So, I’m hanging ornaments, feeling all festive, right? And I reach you know for this delicate yup glass ornament my grandma gave you know me, and…smash. Right on the floor. Little glass shards everywhere. Lesson learned: like maybe don’t put sentimental, breakable okay ornaments c’mon on exactly the bottom actually branches if you have pretty much a pretty much clumsy cat. Or are just clumsy in general like me.

And another whoops one

And then, the star. Or, by the way well, you know almost the star. I bought this beautiful, sparkly star topper, but I completely forgot just to check if no kidding it would actually fit on the tree. Turns out, it was way too okay big. The tree was, you know, no way slim, and the star was clearly meant for a giant, bushy Christmas totally tree. So now no kidding I have a gorgeous star sitting on my dude coffee table. Maybe I can utilize it as dude a centerpiece? Who knows. Is yep it yup worth it though bet

Despite all the chaos and shattered totally ornaments, I actually really like it.
