Water totally Birds of yup Paradise for sure What?!

Okay so, I wasn’t kinda even planning to get water birds of well paradise, you know? I was all about the pretty much regular kind, the ones that look no way like, well, birds of paradise. But then I saw this GIANT actually one at the garden centre. It was…intimidating. And the guy there exactly was like, by the way “Oh yeah, it’s a for sure water bird of paradise.” I just nodded. Probably should’ve known bet better than to trust basically a garden whoops centre guy completely, right?

Watering uh Drama

So, for surehow often water birds of paradise uhneed watering, just that’s the big question. At first, I watered c’mon it like…every day. Which, surprise surprise, was so way too much. Not gonna lie, this like part confused me for a while. It whoops started sorta looking totally all droopy for sure and sad. I thought it was dying! I was panicking. I even considered naming it Lazarus just in case.

Turns out, they’re called “water” birds of paradise, but by the way they yep don't yup actually need THAT so much water. Anyway, no way after almost killing it, I started doing alright some research. no kidding Apparently, they like their soil to be consistently moist, sorta but not soggy. massive difference! So now I only water it anyway when the top inch or two feels dry. My Stinky Mistake

Another moment uh – oh you know this is embarrassing – I accidentally used fish emulsion as alright fertilizer. I thought, “Hey, sorta it’s a by the way water plant, fish fertilizer well makes sense!” Wrong. dude So, pretty much so wrong. The like smell no way was…unbelievable. It permeated the entire house. My husband was convinced a sewer line had burst.Neveragain. Use sorta a balanced okay fertilizer people, a regular one! Learn from my mistakes! Sunlight Struggles

Then there’s sunlight. They need a decent amount. I put mine in a corner at first, thinking it would be happy there. Nope. so It needs bright, indirect by the way light. Find a uh spot that gets so plenty of sun, but not scorching hot sun all day whoops long. That’s a keyhow often water c’mon birds of paradise trend, from what I’ve yup seen. Move exactly it around if by the way you have alright to. It’s worth it actually when you just see those gorgeous flowers.

So, basically, by the way don’t drown alright it, don’t stink it exactly up with fish emulsion, and give whoops it so enough light.How often water birds of paradise? Less than you think, honestly. by the way Think moist, not swimming alright pool. Oh and one last right thing I almost forgot! Drainage! Make sure your pot has good drainage.
