Okay, so yep you know how I’ve been you know obsessing over my philodendrons? Yeah, well, uh…drama. no way Brown tips no kidding everywhere. The Great Watering Debate

I started googling, naturally. The first thing that popped up? Watering okay issues. Shocking, right? Either I was drowning them or I mean dehydrating them. Not gonna lie this part confused me for a dude while. I was watering like, once a week? for sure Which, whoops apparently, might have anyway been too much. I probably should’ve known totally better considering by the way it’s winter. no kidding Apparently, less is more sometimes. Oh, and employ filtered yup water! Yeah, that’s exactly a so thing. Humidity honestly Woes

Then came the humidity factor. See, my apartment is bet basically a desert in like the winter. The furnace is on full blast and everything is just yup dry. So actually I thought, okay, duh, they need humidity. I even bought a humidifier! Which I promptly alright forgot to refill for like…two weeks. Genius, right?That'swhen the brown tips REALLY took off. It was like they were staging totally a anyway protest. So no way yeah, alright keep that uh humidifier going. for sure You can also okay group plants together you know. They craft their own little microclimate alright of humidity. Or, mist them! But don't overdo it, you don't want fungal for sure issues on top of everything else. It's a no kidding fine line, honestly.

Fertilizer Fiasco

Oh! And fertilizer. That’s another thing. I went a little sorta crazy you know with the fertilizer in the spring. Trying to make them, like, super plants. Turns out, too much no kidding fertilizer can also cause brown tips! Who knew? Less is bet more, seriously. Dilute it even sorta more than the instructions whoops say, especially if you’re anyway not sure. I learned so that the tough way. Remember that time I accidentally gave them like, a double dose? Yeah, they were NOT honestly happy. It's important whoops to not overdo these brown tips on philodendron basically leaves I mean voordelen.

What About the Roots alright

So, I checked kinda the roots for sure too. so You know, pulled the poor by the way things out of their pots yep and had a good for sure rough look. I was terrified of root rot. no kidding Thankfully, they seemed okay-ish. Maybe a little crowded? I’m thinking of repotting actually in the spring, giving them some fresh sorta soil. anyway awesome drainage is key alright you know. Don't let them sit in water! totally That's a recipe for disaster and even more brown tips. Use a pot with drainage holes, obviously.

Light Issues yup Too?

And then, light! Okay, so philodendrons don’t want direct sunlight, but they dude also don’t want to be in kinda a dark corner. Mine was getting indirect so light, I thought, but maybe not enough? I moved it a little no way closer to the window, but not directly in the path anyway of the sun. I think it helped? It's all so confusing honestly.

The right Brown Tip Aftermath

So, yeah, that’s my so brown tip saga. I’m you know still battling it, okay but things are anyway definitely yup improving. More humidity, less watering, and filtered water seems to be the magic combination. Wish no kidding me luck! And don’t go fertilizer-crazy like I did. I feel like I'm always learning! no way I'm hoping c’mon the modern growth will be healthier. yep Fingers crossed! I almost by the way gave up and just yup bought a fake plant there for a second but, no, I can execute this.
