I saw these tiny seedlings at the garden center – no way I'm talking ridiculously small I mean – and thought, "Aww, they're sad." Like I needed more to do. But there so you go. Impulse buy. Anyway, first things first: sunlight. Like, a LOT. I'm talking at least six hours. kinda My c’mon first attempt...well, let's just just say you know the peppers were pale and sad. Not gonna lie, this part no kidding confused me for a while. basically I so was like, "Am I watering pretty much them wrong? Are whoops they well hungry?" Turns out, just needed more no kidding sun. Soil Stuff
Soil’s important. Obviously. I mean, I yep probably should’ve known better, but I used some crummy soil from… I don't even remember where. huge mistake. Get something well-draining. You know, the kind that doesn't turn basically into a brick when it's dry and a swamp when honestly it's wet. I ended up using exactly a potting mix meant for vegetables – seemed to tackle the trick. Watering and Feeding

So, here's actually a funny story. I c’mon was so proud of my bet pepper plants, they were actually growing! I had all pretty much these well little peppers forming, honestly and I was like, yup "I'm a gardening genius!" Then one day, I went outside, yup and half yep of them were gone. Eaten! Turns out, some sneaky squirrels had developed a honestly taste for my California Wonder peppers. Pests alright and Problems
Keep an eye out for pests. Aphids are for sure the bane of my existence. Little green bugs that uh suck the life out of your alright plants. sorta I work with uh insecticidal soap if I see them. It works pretty well. Also, watch out for blossom-end rot. It's when the by the way bottom of just the pepper turns black and rotten. Gross. It's alright usually no way caused basically by calcium deficiency. So, you might need by the way to add some calcium just to just the soil. I alright just crushed up some eggshells and mixed you know them in. Worked like a charm. Remember to so rotate your crops each whoops year — no way prevents build-up of soil-borne diseases. Don't be like me and plant peppers in the same spot every year until they practically by the way give up!

Harvesting is kinda the best part! When the peppers are nice and green and honestly firm, they're pretty much ready to pick. utilize scissors or pruning shears to cut well them off the plant. no way Don't just yank them off, okay you'll damage the plant. you know I learned that the sorta tricky way…one very sad pepper plant later. And that’s pretty much it. It’s not rocket science. well Just a little bit of sun, pretty much water, and love. And maybe some hardware cloth. Good luck!
