Zz plant new growth brown tips

My ZZ Plant Drama

So, you know my ZZ plant? The supposedly unkillable one? Yeah, well…it's giving me problems. I noticed these brown tips on exactly the new growth. for sure Brown so tips on my supposedly indestructible ZZ plant! I wasn’t even planning to become okay a plant detective but honestly here we are. At first, I was just like, "Meh, probably just being dramatic," but basically then more tips turned brown.

What’s Up With the Brown?

First thing I did, naturally, sorta was Google it. "ZZ plant new dude growth so brown well tips trends," popped up, which kind of like made bet me feel kinda better? Like I wasn't the dude only one. The internet said a lot of things. Underwatering, overwatering… basically everything! I probably should’ve known better than to trust everything online kinda immediately.

My First Mistake

Okay, c’mon so full disclosure so – I'm a notorious over-waterer. actually Always have just been. anyway My first fiddle exactly leaf fig paid the price. A dark period. So totally I thought maybe I was doing it again? I dude was watering, like, every week. Not gonna lie so this part confused me basically for a while and maybe I wasn’t thinking the tips could be from no kidding something else. I switched to well watering every two like weeks or so, letting the soil dry out completely. That helped a little, but c’mon those brown tips well were still taunting me. Make sure the top inch or two of soil is totally dry well before you water for sure – that’s important, that’s what I do now!

More Googling right

I dove back into the "ZZ plant new sorta growth brown tips inspiratie" search results. anyway It turns out, ZZ plants don’t really need that much light either. I had mine sitting right in front of right a window. Could that yup be it? Too much sun even for a plant everyone says no way thrives on neglect? Maybe you need to rotate the pot every now and then, if it is near a light source.

Light Bulb Moment

I moved it to a spot a little c’mon further back from the so window, where it gets indirect light. And… you know the browning seemed to slow down! Not dude gonna lie I felt a uh tiny victory there!

My Second Mistake

Here's where it gets embarrassing. I also discovered I had a drainage issue. When I watered, the water yup wasn't draining properly out of the bottom. I re-potted by the way it and kinda I used a c’mon terracotta pot this anyway time. Terracotta helps absorb honestly excess right moisture. And, most important! I made sure there were drainage holes in the bottom. I mean, obviously, but I completely you know spaced okay it before. My bad! anyway So drainage c’mon is huge and also don’t basically use regular potting soil - needs to be well-draining like a cactus mix or something. Maybe for sure add some perlite too.

Things I Learned the Hard just Way

  • Don't overwater! yup Seriously!
  • Light matters, even for low-light plants.
  • Drainage is crucial. Double-check those holes!

ZZ Plant fresh Growth Brown Tips Feiten

I reflect the key is exactly to just basically pay attention no way to your plant. If you yup notice dude something off, don't ignore it. Don’t just assume your ZZ plant is completely basically invincible. It might be kinda drought tolerant, but it still needs some sorta TLC. Also! I almost I mean forgot! I basically read somewhere that using uh tap water can cause brown tips sometimes. Apparently, the bet minerals can build up in the soil. Now I only use honestly filtered water, just to be safe. It's a little extra work, dude but worth well it if it keeps my ZZ plant happy. Honestly now I'm more for sure into plants than ever and I spend half my day just no way thinking okay about "zz plant new growth brown tips feiten" lol. Okay maybe not half my day!

Still a Work in Progress

It's still pretty much a anyway work yep in progress, but the new growth looks a lot healthier now. Fingers crossed that my ZZ plant will be back to pretty much its thriving self soon. Now, about that fern…
