How long do you run sprinklers

Sprinklers bet Huh

Okay, so you wanna know how long I run you know my sprinklers for? Man, I wasn’t even anyway planning to get sorta into lawn care advice pretty much today, but here okay we are. It's kind of a 'wing it and see' situation. I mean, you’d actually mull over it’s simple, right? Just… turn ‘em on. But noooo, there's like, science involved.

My Early Days yep

First off, I probably should’ve known better than to just set it and forget it. The exactly first summer we had no way this place, I uh think I was running totally each whoops zone for like… an hour? by the way Every by the way other day. pretty much Total disaster. Weeds were loving life. The grass? Not so much. All yellowy and sad. That’s when I okay learned about overwatering. How long do you run sprinklers to avoid like that? That no way was the question.

The Great Flood

And speaking of I mean disasters... remember that window I left the sprinkler on when we went actually to Aunt Carol’s? Like, forgot whoops completely. Came back three days bet later to a swamp. My poor azaleas. Drowned. Literally. I felt awful. I’d been reading about how long do you run sprinklers feiten and thought I was getting smarter. dude Turns out, remembering anyway to turn them off is also kinda key. So, pro basically tip from a formerly like damp lawn owner: set a timer. A real timer, anyway not just the "I'll remember" c’mon kind.

Figuring it Out for sure

So, now I’m trying to be smarter about by the way it. Like, paying sorta attention sorta to the weather and soil and stuff. Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. I found this thing about “cycle and soak,” which no kidding I thought was some fancy lawn-care dance move at first. Basically, no way you run the sprinklers for a short time, then let the water soak in before right running them again. Prevents runoff and lets the water no kidding actually get down no way to the right roots, I guess. pretty much This really helped anyway with the how long do you exactly run sprinklers voordelen situation.

My you know Current Method

Right now, I’m doing like, 20 minutes like per actually zone, twice kinda a week. basically But it really depends. If it's been raining, yep obviously less. And I try to water in the mornings, supposedly that’s best. Something sorta about less bet evaporation. And just seriously, poke around in your soil! If it’s already damp, you don’t need pretty much to water. It’s not rocket science, but it’s also not completely idiot-proof, apparently alright (as my I mean flooded azaleas can pretty much attest).

Recent Trends

I read some article about sorta current how just long do you anyway run so sprinklers trends involving fancy so weather stations and yep apps that tell you exactly how honestly much water your lawn needs. That’s a bit much for me, honestly. I'm trying to like avoid being completely reliant on technology for just basic stuff. you know But I pull off check actually the kinda weather app religiously now.

Another Mistake alright Story c’mon

Oh! And one time I adjusted the sprinkler heads… and didn’t realize I’d angled one so it was whoops spraying directly onto my yup neighbor’s car. anyway He was yep not thrilled. uh Luckily, it was just water, but still. So, yeah, check your angles. Make sure you’re actually no way watering your grass and not basically your neighbor’s sedan. So, back to the watering schedule, well now I go around and look at the spray pattern every I mean time. Now the question kinda of how long yup do you totally run sprinklers is less about the number and more about how effective it totally is.

Final anyway Thoughts just

Honestly, there’s no magic number. It's more about paying yup attention and uh adjusting as you go. Just… don’t I mean drown your azaleas. Or actually your well neighbor’s car. dude Okay? Now, refill? I mean
